Chris Prescott of Jane’s Dough’s will be taking residence with us in Newport Wine Cellar & Gourmet starting this and every Saturday 4-7pm. We are super excited to welcome him & hope you will show support Saturday by coming out for a pizza & a bottle of wine!

Chris has been cheffing up delicious Neapolitan Pizza in the Newport Shipyard and at Newport Film all summer, and now he is taking root in our gourmet shop, so you can get his fresh pizza all year long.

There are so many people in our culinary community that I get inspiration from, and it is a real joy to work closely with one of my culinary friends! Chris began his project by studying pizza recipes and developing his own unique process and recipe. I love his thin crust pizza—it is all about the char on his crust for me. You will have to come in and try for yourself!

How will it work? Simple, come in and order (or call ahead), it just takes a few minutes. Stay and eat in or take away, but either way, grab a bottle of wine to enjoy with your pizza at Newport Wine Cellar. Each week we will feature a wine pairing suggestion, which you can sample at our weekend tasting.

This Saturday’s Menu 6/7 (menu will change weekly)

Margherita- $13

Cremini Mushroom - $14

Pepperoni, Sausage or Chorizo - $15

Special - Sorrel Pesto, Ricotta Cheese with Basil infused O/O & Garlic sauteed Baby Shrimp - $18


This week’s (6/7) pairing suggestion: 2017 Gran Sasso Montepulciano $12

A bright, fresh, playful red with a lot of character and delicious berry notes and a toasty finish. (that’s right, its a wicked deal!)

*And, I will make fresh cannoli’s and some of my mom’s biscotti for dessert!*
