Pizza Strips & Super Bowl Preparations

Sparsely Adorned, but No Less Satisfying!

I am not sure what your Super Bowl treats include, but a mainstay for a win for New England has to include Pizza Strips!

There is no way to win the argument about which style of pizza is the best, so I will continue to just love them all, allowing each to have their moment. New Haven thin crust with clams is amazing, New York slices the size of your head are so satisfying, Neapolitan with its lofty crust and thin center is divine, and Sicilian style pan pizza fills my heart and belly with joy, and that is to name only a handful. For this Super Bowl party, I want some traditional American Italian Pizza Strips to feed us to a New England Victory.

We are going to turn NWC&G into a pizzeria this weekend, baking up my own pizza strips inspired by Grandma Rose’s pizza! I will have all the ingredients you need, should you want to make one of your own.

Really good pizza has two basic things—good dough & a thick delicious gravy (you know what I mean!). All you need is flour, yeast, water, olive oil, garlic, canned whole tomatoes, tomato paste, fresh herbs, and parmigiana.

You know me, there are no rules, so you can add other ingredients if that makes you happy, bring it on.

I will make up some dough & have it for you, but you can try to make your own, it is very satisfying! I will do a demo Saturday at 2 & 4. Follow us on IG to see the video on our story if you cannot make it in @newportwinenchz.

I know you will be routing for the Pats 🏈, so do it in style with some liters of Italian wine & artisanal beers from the shop & join us for the Pregame Preparation Party Saturday 4-6!
